Hi everyone,
I’m sorry for not having told you this already, but developing has been on PAUSE–it is NOT stopped. I just need a little time and I should be able to get back to the program. One reason it is on pause is that I am in school and I haven’t had a lot of time. I’ll update you when it resumes… this summer looks good.

Hello all! I first wanted to apologize for not keeping you up-to-date as I said I would. I have been coding on and off since my last post due to heavy school work. Anyway, last night I practically finished Frost (MXRE). I should be done with it within the next couple of days, as a matter of fact, barring unforeseen circumstances! I will keep you posted this time
P.S. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello all. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to code much lately because I have more exams in school and lots of schoolwork. I just wanted to inform you all of that, and that this weekend I should be coding again. I’ll keep you updated! Joe

It’s almost done, actually. I resolved the dilemma I was facing before and have just about finished the code for it. I’m expecting to finish it tomorrow and start work on other code for Zoticus. There may be additions to my checklist, also, which I’ll add to zoticus.mileniux.com. So sit tight and don’t worry, progress is being made

Hey all, I’m still working on MXRE. I said before I planned to finish it in a day, but that didn’t work out so well. I found a slight design flaw that I’m currently fixing. But I’m still making progress, don’t worry, silly! Anyhoo, I’m going to keep programming and I’ll keep you posted, as always.

Hello to all! I decided I’d formally name these, cause it probably wouldn’t be good for them to be named so when finally released! Here’s what they are:
- Bart: Mileniux Dynamic PHP Interpreter (MXDPI)
- Frost: Mileniux Reflection Engine (MXRE)
- Marie: Mileniux Documentation Subystem (MXDS)
- Drexel: Mileniux Dynamic Class Engine (MXDCE)
- Lexerd: Mileniux Dynamic Object Engine (MXDOE)
So there you go! You wanted them, now you got them!
Names are subject to change.
So now you want to know about my progress. Well, tomorrow I plan to finish Frost/MXRE and start Marie/MXDS. So that means things are going well! I’ll keep you updated. -Joe

I have updated the development checklist to reflect recent backend design changes. Essentially what I did is added two new subsystems, Frost and Lexerd. Marie (the documentation subsystem) and Drexel (the dynamic classes subsystem) are both dependent on Frost, another subsystem, to work. Lexerd is the dynamic objects subsystem, which is dependent on Drexel. So I’ll be completing them in the following order: Frost, Marie, Drexel, Lexerd, and I should hopefully be completing this in no more than a week. I’ll keep you updated!

Yes, that’s right! I had to stop for a day or two because of exams. But that’ll all be done soon and I’ll get back to Zoticus.
The next thing will not, actually, be Drexel but rather something Drexel is dependent on. Marie, the documentation system, is dependent on it too. It should only take me a couple of hours to do. Things are looking good!

It’s amazing! In less than a week I finished one of the most difficult pieces of code for Zoticus! I just finished it essentially, hours after telling you I was planning to finish it before the end of the weekend! Let’s throw a party!
I feel it necessary to explain “Essentially Finished,” which is terminology I just started using on zoticus.mileniux.com. I don’t call it “Finished” because it’s technically not until there’s a final release of Zoticus. It still has testing to undergo, etc., and it’s likely that code will be modified before the official release of the software. But it’s effectively done!
More updates to come (for Drexel),
Joe

Hello all, and welcome to my first blog entry! I just want to update you on Bart, the first backbone to be written for Zoticus. Bart is about 2/3 finished right now, and I expect it to be done no later than this weekend. Bart is the first large step in Zoticus’ development. The drivers are, for the most part, all drafted. After Bart is completed, I move on to Drexel which could take me a couple days. I should be able to get most of it done over the weekend but it might take a little longer depending on Bart. Drexel is dependent on Bart, by the way. So anyway that’s the update.
P.S.- I hope to get a nice info sheet out about Zoticus soon so you all know what it is! I know I haven’t been too clear about it yet. In the meantime, click “About” on the side panel, it has a little description of Zoticus!
